Hello, my name is Teresa Smith.
Designing and fabricating jewelry is the realization of a life long dream for me. I have always been a creative person in one way or another. I studied jewelry fabrication and design during High School in Southern California. I have also studied Landscape, Fashion and Interior Design and worked in these fields throughout the years.
After moving to Central Arkansas and finding the Arkansas Arts Center Museum school I started to study jewelry design again. Since 2007, I have been working on developing my style of handmade artisian jewelry. I love fashion and have designed my pieces to be worn both casually as well as formal.
My jewelry pieces are each hand fabricated and constructed using traditional metalsmithing techniques of sawing, forming, soldering, texturing and polishing. Many pieces are oxidized to enhance the textures and to create a contrast between the metals and the gemstones or pearls. Many pieces also have been combined with copper and various patinas. I also use freshwater pearls, gemstones and various designer cut cabochons.
I am inspired by all things around me. Nature, the Outdoors, City streets, and Architecture, along with my love of the ocean, all evolve into my works in one way or another.
My work is in a local Little Rock Art Gallery Stephano’s. I have been honored to be a part this contemporary gallery and give thanks to all of those people who have purchased my jewelry.
Having an online presence is a dream come true. I am excited about reaching new customers and those customers who may not be able to make it to the gallery.
